Salon Blanc Restaurant and Bar

The look: White-wash walls, crisp white tablecloths, eclectic furnishings and unexpected splashes of colour fill this simply trendy waterside bar. Drink under-cover in the traditional look bar or spread out on a stripy multi-coloured daybed, drink alfresco and enjoy the afternoon sun. The vibe: There’s a Mediterranean feel, white reclining chairs to relax in and a cool vibe to keep you going back for more.
Signature drink: Apricot and Saffron Sour ($16). Think apricot liquor on the rocks, with a saffron syrup, shaken with rich Dark Rum. Delish!
Bar Nibbles: The delectable Tapas menu includes char grilled octopus, with cucumber, lemon, grape and currant salad ($14) and a sliced cured meat and bread plate ($14).
Soundtrack: Get in party mode with Dance music on a Friday night then kick off your Saturday listening to classic jazz.
The Wow Factor: The truly spectacular view of Sydney Harbour. Visiting celebrity clientele also includes movie star Josh Hartnett and locals like Russell Crowe.
If this bar was an animal it would be: A Rainbow Puffin because they are white, with colourful stripes (and is an amazing find you’ll never forget).
Best for: intimate dates or to impress uber cool international visitors.
