Shore Club
The look: Classic ‘Miami retro with a dash of disco’. It also has a beach view, three stylish floors, leather booths, Italian silver light fittings and three white cabanas on the Sun Deck.
The soundtrack: DJ’s spin ‘retro clash’ and ‘deadly discothèque’ on Thursdays, some house on the weekends and Rare groove - chilled out ambient funk - as standard cutting edge background music.
Signature drink: The Sure Sling ($14) is packed with a punch - Tanqueray gin, Grand Marnier, Galliano and fresh passion fruit.
I’m hungry! There’s fifteen delicious Tapas dishes to choose from ($9 per dish). Try the Asian Duck wonton basket or chili lemon squid with mint and coriander. The wow factor: The sun deck on the top floor is an über glamorous lounge bar with fairy lights and an open roof (catch some rays or star-gaze).
Best for: Dates or groovy friends. You’ll find the ideal beach haven with large common areas, and secluded spots, for every mood.
If this bar were a movie star: It would be Cate Blanchett - beautifully classic yet unpretentious.
