I hear I can get a midnight supper here: You hear right. Iguana’s one of Sydney’s few establishments serving food into the wee hours. What’s the look? Cosy booths, disco balls and sequined chandeliers in the back bar, which has had a bit of zshushing of late – it’s now sans a pool table but has dancing poles if you fancy wrapping yourself around one.
I’d like to be flat out like a lizard drinking... Well, the cocktail list can take you there, particularly the tangy Green Iguana Margarita ($12.50).
Who’s hanging around? Locals and the post-gig party crowd.
The wow factor: Touring bands love this place – Iguana has lured the likes of Tom Jones, Tommy Lee, Robbie Williams and Christina Agueliera.
