Locanda Cucina Bar

The look: Locanda has a lot of space to play with and the result is a number of different zones including a light and bright front bar, barista island and a rear private dining room where you’ll feel at one with the wine collection instantly.
To drink: The floor-to-ceiling racks announce that wine is a speciality and the list offers 150mL, 250mL and 500mL serving sizes in addition to full bottles. The beer selection is fairly standard but the cocktail list ranges from house concoctions to classics to dessert substitutes. Try the Margarita with Citrus Foam ($16).
To eat: Conceived as an all-day eatery, the menu is fairly extensive and predominantly Italian inspired. Bar snacks include yellow-fin tuna bruschetta ($16), swordfish pizza ($18) the daily arancini ($14).
The crowd: Situated within the Rydges complex, Locanda attracts hotel guests and post-work locals.
Best for: office drinks that look likely to stretch out into dinner.
