Little Creatures Dining Hall

The look: More like a hangar than a hall, Little Creatures’ semi-industrial look aims to evoke Fitzroy’s working class past right down to the enamel canteen crockery. Over-sized booths, an open kitchen and long bar frame the room but if you start to feel agoraphobic, slip into the bottle-shop for more intimate, cellar-style seating.
To drink: The entire LC range on tap, including Pipsqueak Cider, served in the brewery’s own customised glasses – so check the sizes before you order. Besides beer, there’s a small but considered selection of boutique Aussie wines.
To eat: Classic drinking grub such as nachos ($15), pizza ($15-17) and pies ($15-16) complete with mash and gravy.
The crowd: Plentiful. Just opened in July, word is well and truly out amongst Melbourne’s early 20-somethings.
Best for: Bigger groups to give you a bit of a buffer. But go early to stake your claim on a table.
