The Look: Though the name might suggest the kind of place furnished by Sotheby’s and filled with precious untouchables, Antique is in reality quite relaxed and accessible. The slouchy couches and lamp lit spaces give off a vintage, lived-in vibe where it’s easy to make yourself at home.
The great outdoors: A handful of side-walk seats ensure nicotine cravings are sated.
To drink: A tall bookcase of spirits behind the bar indicates that cocktails are on the menu and there’s even a dessert themed selection. But if you’re not in the market for mixed drinks, there are ample wine or beer options.
To eat: The food menu is on the basic side (dips and toasted sandwiches) but if you’ve got a dinner sized appetite, you can duck out for take-away and bring it back.
The crowd: local twenty and thirty somethings looking to shake off the working week.
Best for: Getting off Facebook and actually meeting up with mates.
